The team of the Society of Aesthetic Foot Surgery s.r.o.
Our medical team is dedicated to providing superior care in the field of aesthetic foot surgery, combining expertise with the latest advancements in medical equipment and surgical procedures.
We specialize in minimally invasive techniques using miniature instruments, mini-incisions, and skin punctures, leaving almost invisible surgical scars. Unlike conventional methods that rely on large surgical wounds, we operate below the skin surface and monitor the procedure’s progress in real-time using an X-ray machine.
Our procedures' functional outcomes match those of traditional open techniques and often surpass them. In addition to restoring pain-free gait and proper function, we place great emphasis on the aesthetic appearance of the foot. Minimally invasive surgery results in significantly less postoperative pain and swelling, as well as a much faster recovery.
“We perform surgeries using punctures or multi-millimeter incisions that adhere to the principles of aesthetic surgical techniques. The approach is further enhanced by a gentle treatment of soft tissue to minimize damage. We use intradermal sutures to close wounds, ensuring that scars remain almost invisible.
These techniques not only correct bunions but also restore the transverse arch of the foot, providing patients with significant pain relief. By relieving the congested forefoot, we prevent recurring blisters on the ball of the foot, the inner side of the big toe, and between the toes.
Compared to conventional open surgeries, recovery after our procedures is remarkably shorter—from days to weeks. For example, recovery time after traditional bunion surgery ranges from 6–12 weeks, whereas our minimally invasive bunion correction allows patients to recover within 2–6 weeks. Procedures for certain toe deformities may require only days for recovery. In other cases, such as toe joint release for arthritis, patients can go home without crutches the same day.”
