Big Toe Arthritis – June 2022

Before Surgery:

A 54-year-old patient came with big toe arthritis, reporting pain while walking and limited toe mobility.

After Surgery:

In June 2022, the toe joint was released, and arthritis growths were removed around the joint. The procedure was performed using a 3 mm skin puncture.

• The patient was discharged on the day of surgery and used crutches for relief over the next 2–3 days.
• In the postoperative image taken 4 weeks after surgery, a small healing scar is visible on the inner side of the toe joint.
• Postoperatively, toe mobility improved, and pain while walking subsided.
