Preoperative photos show a significant deformity of the big toe with a crossover with the second toe.
At the same time, the patient reports pain in the forefoot, difficulty walking, and a feeling of pressure in the shoe.
1 week after surgery
We performed the correction of the bunion using a minimally invasive surgical technique using skin punctures and mini-incisions. The surgery was performed without standard surgical incisions. The photo shows the postoperative swelling of the forefoot one week after the surgery.
Compared to conventional open surgical techniques, postoperative pain and swelling are significantly reduced. The patient is walking without crutches 4 weeks after surgery.
